Bow Legs Correction Exercise for Adults

Bowlegs is a condition, which your legs appear bowed out, meaning your knees stay wide apart even when your ankles are together. It can sometimes be a sign of an underlying disease, such as rickets or Blount's disease, and in the long term can lead to arthritis in the knees.

Bow legs are usually a normal development stage among children who are under 3 years of age. Infants are usually born bow legged due to their folded position while in their mother’s womb, but usually fixes itself by the time they are 18 months old. If the problem persists well into teenage or adulthood then the treatments for it are either surgery or physical therapy. Adult bow legs respond to either kind of treatment based on bone curvature and leg type.

Fortunately, these are natural treatments that involve diet and exercise. Special methods of stretching, the right exercises and a course of special diet are often enough to cure bow legs naturally.

Exercises to straighten bow legs are made to improve the muscles inside upper thighs and knees allowing that you change your leg’s job. This is something you have got to perform steadily as not necessarily a quick fix. Side leg raise, standing toe touch, figure four stretch, downward facing dog, Pilates and yoga are useful to change your posture together with decrease the severity with bow legs, but now and again, risky surgery may be needed.
